The GOP have no policies to promote so they resort to hypocrisy.

The GOP has only one policy—that is giving fat cats tax cuts, which is the hugest loser ever imaginable. What can the GOP do other than lie? The GOP wants to reduce Social Security and Medicare and use the hypocritical code word entitlements to confuse their voters. These policies are pivotal for the 99%, but the GOP wants to cut them and don’t have the courage to stand by their vile tactics.

When the GOP give their fat cat cronies tax cuts they pretend that will help the economy.

The GOP reduced the NIH budget, but blame Democrats for the Ebola crisis.

Mitch McConnell’s campaign is emblematic of GOP deceptiveness.

This election must be our time. The GOP will shaft the 99% to benefit the fat cats. The Democrats must subdue the GOP. God bless every Democratic worker in the ground operation of getting out Democratic votes.

The GOP’s “1984” propaganda tactics are exposed in the article “Will Republicans succeed in using Ebola and ISIS to manipulate the American psyche?”.

It states “There is a confluence of events that currently have many Americans in a funk. A continuum has reflected an economy that simply is not working for the working middle class even though—as explained by President Obama and Paul Krugman—conditions have much improved. ISIS and Ebola have instilled an irrational fear in many.

Is the working poor and working middle class weak-minded, willfully ignorant, easily scared, or simply gullible? The politics of deception is not new. What is new is how easily the deception works.

How did we get here? How can the country that built the Panama Canal, Hoover Dam, the Interstate Highway System, and voyaged to the moon and back degenerate into a dysfunctional semblance of a super power? How is it possible that Americans may potentially put those who will continue pilfering them in power after the 2014 election?

It is the systematic manipulation of the minds of enough Americans that is responsible. The well-established American plutocracy continues to fuel the machine of deception. What’s most amazing is how long-lived this manipulation has been.”

The article continues “Many see the process of teaching Americans how to vote against their own interests beginning with the Powell Memo, which provided the virtual map. The co-opting of the media, schools, churches, and universities has been wildly successful. The attempt to revise and clean history continues. The creation of think tanks like the Heritage Foundation created a semblance of authoritative position papers, and the use of these position papers and other dogma are then used by politicians and organizations like the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) to create uniform laws throughout the United States.

Unfortunately, the current mass manipulation of the American psyche is in its fourth decade. Republican presidents since Reagan have reveled in it; Democratic presidents simply attempt to survive it. No one fights it. Why is that? Fear. It is the fear of stepping out on a limb and not knowing if it will hold you up or break.”

The article deals with how President Obama has helped the 99% and how both ISIS and Ebola are horrible, but not insurmountable, threats and concludes “Americans are scared because they are uninformed. They are uninformed because the traditional news media is a tool of a plutocracy that understands that fear is one of the best tools to influence citizens to make bad decisions, decisions against their interests.”

It is a shame we have citizens who can vote against their own interests, but the GOP has been exploiting that for generations.

At the federal level, American families have lost an average of roughly $48,000 in income per person, or $6.6 TRILLION, since the Bush tax cuts of 2001 (adjusted for inflation). As journalist David Cay Johnston pointed out, that’s enough money to pay off every family’s credit card debt, student loan debt, and car notes, while still having enough left in the bank.

Families freed from such financial worries would have plenty more disposable income to spend in their local economies, boosting small business in the process and creating enough local demand for more new jobs. The extra tax revenue we would have gained had the Bush tax cuts never gone into effect would be enough to invest in improving education, health care, transportation, agriculture, and myriad other programs. In fact, raising the current top tax rates on the richest 1 percent of Americans to 67 percent (still 3 percent less than the top rate under Nixon), along with creating new tax brackets for millionaires and billionaires, would generate $4 trillion over ten years. That would be enough for a new WPA-style program aimed at rebuilding our vastly sub-par infrastructure while creating millions of new jobs.

The tax cuts experiment has had plenty of time to show results, but the only people whose economic situations have improved since the Bush tax cuts are the wealthiest 1 percent of society. The Paul Ryans of America have lost the bet fair and square. It’s time we learn a lesson from Kansas and California and apply some common sense to our tax structure.”

It states “Republicans are demanding cuts in Social Security and Medicare if Democrats want to change the terms of the “sequester.” I’m sure their Tea Party “base” would be shocked if they understood this. So would most Americans. So is the media giving Americans the information they need in order to make informed decisions?

Yesterday The Hill reported, in “House GOP says sequester is leverage in next budget battle,” that House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan is pushing for cuts in Social Security and Medicare:

In a meeting with House conservatives, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), told rank-and-file lawmakers that, as the party’s chief budget negotiator, he would push instead [of killing Obamacare] for long-term reforms to entitlement programs in exchange for changes to sequestration spending cuts that Democrats are expected to demand….

Most American’s don’t read The Hill. And most Americans don’t know that “long-term reforms” to “entitlement spending” specifically means cuts to Social Security and Medicare.”

The article “REPORT: 104 Republicans In Congress Want To Privatize Social Security” describes how the GOP wants to shaft the 99% and mitigate their blame for such a vile tactic.

The article states “After their attempt to privatize Social Security in 2005 was met with widespread public outcry, the GOP’s strategy on Social Security has been two-fold. First, Republicans deny they are interested in privatization. Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) recently told the Wall Street Journal that “no one has a proposal up to cut Social Security,” (his own book proposes doing so), while conservatives in the media have tried to argue that Republicans don’t actually want to privatize Social Security.

The second tactic has been to obfuscate their privatization plans by sugarcoating them in flowery, palatable language. President Bush’s privatization plan is a prime example. In his 2005 State of the Union, President Bush said we needed to “save” Social Security and give younger workers a “better deal” by having “voluntary personal retirement accounts,” the poll-tested language for privatization. Bush now says his greatest failure was not privatizing Social Security.”

Poll-tested language is an euphemism for “Orwellian” brainwashing.

The article “Ebola Vaccine Would Likely Have Been Found By Now If Not For Budget Cuts: NIH Director” shows how the GOP’s policies can kill people.

The article states “As the federal government frantically works to combat the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, and as it responds to a second diagnosis of the disease at home, one of the country's top health officials says a vaccine likely would have already been discovered were it not for budget cuts.

Dr. Francis Collins, the head of the National Institutes of Health, said that a decade of stagnant spending has "slowed down" research on all items, including vaccinations for infectious diseases. As a result, he said, the international community has been left playing catch-up on a potentially avoidable humanitarian catastrophe.

"NIH has been working on Ebola vaccines since 2001. It's not like we suddenly woke up and thought, 'Oh my gosh, we should have something ready here,'" Collins told The Huffington Post on Friday. "Frankly, if we had not gone through our 10-year slide in research support, we probably would have had a vaccine in time for this that would've gone through clinical trials and would have been ready."”

We all know how the GOP slashed every budget involved in this with their vile sequesters.

The article “Mitch McConnell finally confirms he wants to repeal health insurance for 500,000 Kentuckians”

shows how the GOP will lie for a vote.

They have no ethics so they never consider the consequences of their actions.

McConnell is an insider’s insider and other GOP operatives follow his vile tactics. He was lying and he wouldn’t admit it until now. He thinks somehow or other that he’ll gain from his machinations.

The article states “For the past several months, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has tried to have it both ways on Kynect, Kentucky's popular implementation of Obamacare that has delivered health insurance to more than 500,000 Kentuckians. On the one hand, McConnell has said he wants to repeal Obamacare, but on the other hand, he also says Kynect should remain in place if Kentucky wants to keep it.

There's no reasonable way to square those two positions—you can't repeal Obamacare without repealing Kynect, and you can't keep Kynect without keeping Obamacare—but that hasn't stopped McConnell from taking them both.”

Weeks go by and finally his office, not McConnell responds as the article states “But now McConnell's team has finally responded, albeit through his official Senate office:

A spokesman for the minority leader confirmed that he wants to repeal the full health care law, including not just the federal subsidies for people purchasing on exchanges like Kynect, but also the mandates and taxes on high-cost plans and other features of the legislation.

Keeping Kynect without keeping its subsidies would be like keeping Social Security without Social Security checks—it would be keeping it in name only. And with its statement to The Huffington Post, McConnell is now on record conceding that is what his position is.

It was obvious all along that McConnell was full of it. And now we've got confirmation—from his own office, no less.”

McConnell must be thinking that if he is caught in a corner he can say that he didn’t admit to anything, but it was only someone in his office sending an email.

The GOP throughout the nation will use any tactic imaginable to get a single vote. They have been doing it for generations and with operatives like McConnell and Herr Karl Rove there is no depth they won’t descend to.

There is nothing to recommend the GOP. Who can vote for a policy of rejecting their role as legislators as the GOP have done? The GOP can only hope they can brainwash enough people to vote against their own interests?
