GOP—Our Borders need resources.
GOP refugee hypocrisy
If during the early years of Bush 43's illegal war in Iraq Jordan closed its doors to refugees what would the GOP have done? They would have done anything to make Jordan open its borders. Now that we have children fleeing terrible lives the GOP looks at the polls and the Tea Partiers see that the US is turning against allowing a path for undocumented immigrants to enter our country, and they cruelly show no compassion for the weak and defenseless.
Religious refugee edicts
We look to holy men for guidance. The article "Pope Francis: Migrant Children Must Be 'Welcomed And Protected" states Pope Francis said "I would also like to draw attention to the tens of thousands of children who migrate alone, unaccompanied, to escape poverty and violence: This is a category of migrants from Central America and Mexico itself who cross the border with the United States under extreme conditions and in pursuit of a hope that in most cases turns out to be vain," he said. "They are increasing day by day. This humanitarian emergency requires, as a first urgent measure, these children be welcomed and protected."
“Party of No” impasse
The Democrats can't do anything regarding this when the "Party of No" won't pass anything.
Tea Partier fringe’s cruelty
Why is the GOP so cruel? They have a lunatic fringe that they kowtow to. The article "Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert Warns of Coming Illegal Alien Apocalypse" states "GOP Congressman Louie Gohmert this week told Newsmax TV that he believed President Obama has turned a blind eye to illegal immigration in a political move intended to turn Texas into a reliably Democratic voting stronghold. He then said that if measures weren't taken, Texas would soon be swept away by the coming Illegal Alien Apocalypse."
The article "Hill divisions deepen on border crisis" shows the "Party of No" acting cruelly yet again.
The article shows Democrats acting decisively and compassionately and as the article states "House leaders, meanwhile, are debating whether to move forward on legislation that would provide significantly less funding than Obama is seeking and attaching policy language that would change a 2008 anti-trafficking law to make it easier to return children to their home countries if they're not from Mexico or Canada."
The article details how Senate Democrats are informing the administration and other lawmakers that our President can act in this crisis due to the "exceptional circumstances" provisions in the current law.
The GOP is already suing President Obama. What will happen if he acts without Congress?
The article states "GOP senator John Cornyn of Texas has proposed legislation with Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) including several provisions that would treat children from all countries the same - regardless of whether their home country borders the United States - and significantly shorten the time to process the unaccompanied migrant children's cases."
While the "Party of No" obstructs them the Democrats are acting.
The article "Massachusetts may shelter unaccompanied children that are crossing border illegally" states "Gov. Deval Patrick says he is weighing a request by the Obama administration about whether Massachusetts could agree to shelter some of the unaccompanied children crossing the nation's southern border illegally…..Patrick said similar requests have been made to all states."
Tea Party Cares about their top 1% solely
The "Party of No" would move heaven and earth for the top 1%, but the GOP doesn't care about defenseless children at our borders. What can you say about them?
